ANKARA - The Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITC) Turkey representative's office said on Wednesday that Turkmens should be represented with three members, not with one member in the council which was formed in Baghdad.
Releasing a statement, the representative said that they expected Turkmens to be represented according to population rates in the administration of Iraq and noted that ITC chairmanship's not being invited to the council was unacceptable for Turkmens whose population exceeded three million.
The statement said that when they welcomed efforts of the United States which worked for peace and tranquility in the region and Iraq, they expected ITC administration to be given place in the parliament which was formed in Iraq and to be represented with three people according to population rate of Turkmens.
