ANKARA - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer received State Minister Ali Babacan in audience on Friday.
Babacan did not make any statement after the meeting, while sources say that he has submitted the decree regarding appointment of the new governor of Central Bank of Turkey.
Earlier, Babacan said that the government would not make public the name of the person who was proposed for this post until President Sezer signed the decree.
Central Bank Governor Sureyya Serdengecti's term in office expired on March 14th. Erdem Basci is actually acting as the governor of the Central Bank of Turkey.
