ROME - Foreign Minister of EU Term President Italy Franco Frattini said on Tuesday that their target was to assist Turkey in completing fulfillment of Copenhagen criteria until the end of 2004.
Responding to questions of A.A correspondent about Turkey's EU full membership and Cyprus issue during the news conference he held for foreign journalists, Frattini said that Italy targeted to encourage Turkey regarding reforms, and help Turkey to be ready for EU's giving a negotiation date at the end of 2004.
Regarding Cyprus, Frattini commented that Annan plan was the luckiest solution plan in Cyprus and unification of the two sides on the island was a target.
