SKOPJE - Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, who is currently in Skopje on a formal visit, met on Friday Transportation & Communications Minister Xhemali Mehazi of Macedonia.
Yildirim and Mehazi discussed the ways and means to boost cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on projects to be conducted in Macedonia. The two ministers also signed a cooperation protocol.
Yildirim told reporters that Turkish and Macedonian parties were eager to improve economic, cultural and social relations.
Noting that Turkey has supported Macedonia's NATO membership from the very beginning, Yildirim underlined, ''Turkey and Macedonia always support each other.''
On the other hand, Yildirim met separately Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy Minco Jordanov.
