ANKARA - Nine people were injured in an armed attack staged on a taxi station near the Council of State building in Turkish capital of Ankara on Friday.
According to eyewitness reports, three people in a cab approached the taxi station in Ihlamur street and opened fire on the taxi station.
Cab drivers Omer Celik, Mehmet Disli, Hasim Akyol and Ali Pilavci; Council of State staff Sukru Erisik, Mehmet Ahizer and Muzaffer Agilli; judge Senol Bolat; and Turkish Development Bank official Mehmet Engin Cetinol were wounded in the attack.
The injured were taken under treatment in Hacettepe, Numune and Ibni Sina hospitals, while one of them is in serious condition, indicated the sources.
The three assailants were arrested in ''Bakanliklar'' district.
One of the assailants was sacked from the taxi station two days ago for his undisciplined behaviors, added the sources.
