WASHINGTON - The United States will seek other options, including security, financial, business and travel sanctions, on Iran, if the UN Security Council fails to act against the Islamic republic over its nuclear weapons program, US ambassador to the UN John Bolton said Thursday.
"I think an inability of the part of the Security Council to deal effectively with the Iranian nuclear weapons program would be a signal that as we are committed to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, that we have to look at other alternatives," he told a forum of the US State Department Correspondents Association.
