ANKARA - A meeting on economy was held in Prime Ministry under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.
State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener, Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan, State Minister Ali Babacan, undersecretaries and bureaucrats of the Finance Ministry, Treasury and State Planning Organization and Privatization Administration Board Chairman Metin Kilci attended the meeting which lasted for one and a half hours.
Following the meeting, Unakitan told reporters, ''we came together for the fifth review and we had necessary talks.''
Unakitan said that a general economic situation was also discussed.
When asked whether or not a concrete decision was reached in the meeting, Sener said, ''the concrete decision is that the fifth review will be completed. All procedure regarding the issue was formed.''
Asked whether additional measure was brought onto the agenda in the meeting, Sener said, ''non-interest surplus is completed according to figures of IMF. There is not any problem.''
Sener added, ''non-interest surplus is a thing which has integrity with public incomes and expenses. This balance was ensured in its internal mechanism today.''
