ATHENS - Economic relations between Turkey and Greece are improving, and their bilateral trade is on the rise, said Greek Minister of National Economy & Finance George Alogoskoufis.
Meeting Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen in Greek capital of Athens today, Alogoskoufis underlined importance of Turkey's EU membership for the two countries.
Alogoskoufis also qualified the new Finansbank-National Bank of Greece partnership as an important development. ''We have the potential to boost bilateral trade. We will support businessmen of our two countries,'' he added.
On the other hand, Tuzmen said that Turkey and Greece can take more share in world trade, while appreciated Greece's support to Turkey's EU membership bid.
