ANKARA - Public Banks Joint Administration Council Chairman Zeki Sayin said on Monday that he and the IMF delegation headed by IMF Turkey Desk Chief Reza Moghadam took up reconstruction of agricultural credits and privatization of Halkbank in the meeting on Monday.
Sayin released a statement and said that reconstruction of agricultural credits and current situation in implementation was discussed in the meeting and noted there was agreement within the scope of fourth review.
Stating that another issue discussed in the meeting was privatization of Halkbank, Sayin said that current situation of the bank was discussed in the meeting.
Sayin underlined that Halkbank executive board elected Turkey Industrial and Development Bank and Ernst&Young partnership as consultant company on the way of privatization and noted that consultant company would submit its report about the privatization of Halkbank until the end of September and that the Bank would be ready for sale until the end of November.
Sayin added that Moghadam was also informed about Ziraat Bankasi and Halkbank in the meeting.
