ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Monday that documents seized during detention of Turkish soldiers by U.S. soldiers in Sulaymaniyah had been returned to Turkish side.
Replying to questions of reporters during reception hosted on National Day of France, Gul said that everything seized in Turkey's bureau in Sulaymaniyah had been given back.
Gul noted that two sides exerted good efforts and Turkey and the United States worked as if how two allies worked.
''The result has come out. The reason of the incident, how it happened have been revealed. Of course, what is necessary will be done,'' Gul said.
Gul stated that the Americans took up the issue in the highest level and said, ''everything has been examined. The United States worked not only here but also there. Of course, there will be a statement. You will see it tomorrow.''
Asked how the statement would be made and what its content would be, Gul said, ''you will see when it is announced.''
