Guler: We Believe That There Are Oil Beds In Black Sea

ORDU - Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said on Monday that they believed that there were oil beds in significant amount in the Black Sea.
Speaking about the studies of his ministry in northern province of Ordu, Guler said that they carried out a common study with Japanese experts to examine mine beds in Turkey and that Ordu was within the project.
Noting that they found out that there was gold in Akoluk region of Ulubey town, Guler said that ''we got its license, the Mineral Research and Administration Institute will start drilling in the coming days.''
Guler noted that they attributed great importance to studies about underground natural resources, adding that ''we believe that there is significant amount of oil beds in the Black Sea. Seismic ship will start its studies as of July 15. There is also the project of turning into energy hydrates, which are found 2,200 meters of depth in the Black Sea. Japanese experts carry out this project.''
