ONE POLICE OFFICER SERIOUSLY INJURED
BINGOL - One police officer was seriously injured when terrorists opened gunfire on police station in Genc Township in southeastern city of Bingol on Tuesday.
Bingol Governor Vehbi Avuc told A.A correspondent that terrorists opened fire on the police station at around 20.00 local time injuring police officer Cihan Bayik.
Avuc said treatment of Bayik continued in Bingol State Hospital.
``Such kind of attacks aim to disrupt tranquility of the region, however they will never yield results,`` he noted.
