15th International Istanbul Strait Swimming Competitions Held

ISTANBUL - The 15th International From Asia to Europe Istanbul Strait Swimming, Rowing and Sailing Competitions were held on Sunday.
In men's general classifying, Genco Ucan of Turkey became the first with 50.28.29 while Oxana Chekrygina of Ukraine became the first in women's general with 55.55.48.
Around 300 swimmers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Greece, Bulgaria, Britain, Hungary, Germany, Australia, Georgia, Switzerland, Moldova, Vietnam and Bangladesh joined the competition held in 13 categories, including 8 men's and 5 women's.
The competitions started from Kanlica Pier and ended in pier of Kurucesme Cemil Topuzlu Park.

In yachting race, boat named ''Turku'' became the first, ''Maydanoz'' became the second and ''Sabah'' was ranked the third.
