Fresh Fruit And Vegetable Exports From Bursa Decrease By 10.5 Percent

BURSA - Fresh fruit and vegetable exports from Bursa decreased by 10.5 percent to 24 million 694 thousand U.S. dollars in the first half of this year.
According to figures of Uludag Exporters Association (UIB), Bursa raised an income of 27 million 591 thousand U.S. dollars from its exports in the same period of the previous year.
Fresh fruit and vegetable exports from Bursa decreased 19.9 percent to 15 million 706 thousand U.S. dollars in June 2003 when compared with the same month in 2002. Bursa had obtained 19 million 609 thousand U.S. dollars in June 2002.
Germany was ranked the first among export centers of Bursa while Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Greece, France and Switzerland followed it.
