TUNCELI - Tunceli Governor Ali Cafer Akyuz said on Tuesday, ''those who staged the attack will either live with us by benefiting from the law which will be passed from the parliament or they will die on the mountains.''
Akyuz who was attacked by terrorists when his convoy was returning from in Pulumur town of eastern Tunceli province on Tuesday held a press conference. He stated that the armed attack was staged by the terrorist organization PKK/KADEK.
Stating that he attended a ceremony held in Pulumur upon the opening of six houses which were repaired to be given to families who suffered from terrorism, Akyuz said that KADEK terrorists staged an armed attack on their convoy in Zagge region when they were returning to Tunceli.
Akyuz said that it was an attack which was planned and it was staged against Turkish Republic.
''The attack was staged directly on me and Turkish flag. The attack which was staged against the state was earlier planned. The government was working to pass the reassociation law. The attack was staged when parliament was working to pass this law. Those who staged the attack will either live with us by benefiting from the law which will be passed from the parliament or they will die on mountain. But we say that they should live with us, not die on mountain,'' he stated.
Akyuz said, ''we will back those who back their state. They targeted directly at the state, but they will get necessary response soon.''
Stating that they did not get any information about an assassination attempt, but they received information that state officials had the risk of being attacked..
Akyuz said that it was out of question to announce Emergency Rule in Tunceli now and added that operations were being carried out to capture terrorists who were estimated as 12 people.
