ISTANBUL - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener, who had attended ''e-state Ministers' Conference'' in Italy, returned to Turkey on Wednesday.
Responding questions of journalists at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport after his arrival, Sener said, ''I attended the conference upon invitations of current European Union (EU) Term President Italy and the European Commission. Besides Turkey and EU countries, candidate countries, the United States, Russia and representatives of international organizations such as the World Bank, the United Nations and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) were in attendance at the meeting. The conference was held with the aim of exchanging views on experiences of countries in e-state implementations and the best implementations.''
''A Joint Ministers' Declaration was signed at the end of the conference by ministers of 28 European countries including Turkey. The declaration envisages formation of e-state in Europe, formation of systems among these countries and the European Commission for the success of e-state implementation and strengthening cooperation among countries.''
