Finance Minister Unakitan Leaves For United States

ISTANBUL - Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said on Tuesday, ''relations between Turkey and United States cannot be harmed easily. There are recently some sensitive problems. These problems will be resolved through dialogue.''
Unakitan left for the United States to attend privatization promotion meetings.
Responding questions of journalists at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport prior to his departure for the United States, Unakitan said, ''relations between Turkey and United States cannot be harmed easily. There are recently some sensitive problems. These problems will be resolved through dialogue.''
Noting that he would hold talks with investors in the United States, Unakitan said that he would inform U.S. investors on privatization efforts in Turkey, banking sector and Turkish economy.
Privatization Authority Chairman Metin Kilci is accompanying Unakitan.
Unakitan and accompanying delegation will first hold meetings in New York.
They will proceed to Boston on Friday.
Unakitan and accompanying delegation will return to Turkey on Saturday.
