SECURITY FORCES AND TANKS DEPLOYED IN DIYARBAKIR

DIYARBAKIR - A number of policemen and military tanks have been deployed in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir following yesterday's illegal demonstrations, sources told the A.A on Wednesday.
Security measures were tightened in the city against any possible events.
A number of policemen from the neighboring cities of Mardin, Sanliurfa, Malatya, Batman and Elazig were deployed in Diyarbakir.
Meanwhile, armored personnel carriers and tanks were sent to the city.
Violence broke out in the city yesterday during funeral of four terrorists who were killed in a military operation in Mus on March 25th. Supporters of the terrorist organization PKK hurled firebombs at security forces, shattered windows of several business places, banks and a health clinic. 32 people including 8 policemen were injured in the clash.
