ISTANBUL - Security forces intervened in a group of members of Democratic People's Party (DEHAP), who attempted to hold an illegal demonstration in Beyoglu district of Istanbul on Sunday with stones and clubs in their hands.
A group of nearly 100 members of the DEHAP gathered in Beyoglu.
They closed the road to traffic and started marching towards local police station by chanting slogans to protest the Repentance Law.
They also chanted slogans in favor of Abdullah Ocalan, the head of the terrorist organization PKK.
When they arrived in front of the police station, they threw stones at security forces.
The demonstrators dispersed later.
Security forces detained some of them.
