Number Of Tourists Visiting Cappadocia Region Increases

NEVSEHIR - A total of 620 thousand 960 tourists visited historical and touristic places in the Cappadocia region in the first six months of 2003.
Directorate of Nevsehir Museum officials told the A.A correspondent on Sunday that a total of 620 thousand 960 tourists including 119 thousand 889 foreigners visited Goreme Open Air Museum, Zelve Ruins, Cavusin Church, Gulsehir St. Jean Church, Gulsehir Open Palace Ruins and underground cities of Ozkonak, Mazi, Tatlarin, Derinkuyu and Kaymakli.
In the same period, 572 thousand 474 tourists including 219 thousand 828 foreigners visited Cappadocia region.
