ANKARA - Spanish Foreign Ministry State Secretary for the European Union Alberto Navarro Gonzales and an accompanying delegation met members of Turkish Parliament EU Adjustment Committee on Tuesday.
Sources said that Gonzales conveyed Spain's support to Turkey's EU membership bid.
Gonzales said Spain would always be in cooperation with Turkey, stating that Spain's membership to the EU was not so easy.
Planned visit of Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero, expected to take place in May or June, was also discussed at the meeting.
Investments in areas of energy and tourism will be discussed during Zapatero's visit, sources said.
