BAGDAD - Seven people were killed and 23 wounded in rocket and mortar attacks in southern Baghdad Monday, an interior ministry source said.
The two attacks took place in two separate areas of the Zafaraniyah district of the capital, the source said.
Three other people were killed in other attacks in Baghdad earlier Monday, while at least 40 people perished when a suicide bomber blew himself up at an army recruiting centre in the northwest of Iraq.
