BRUSSELS - Members of the Turkish Parliamentary Human Rights Commission headed by Chairman Mehmet Elkatmis met Pierre Mirel, the head of the Candidate Countries' Directorate of the European Commission, in Belgian capital of Brussels on Friday.
During the one-hour meeting, Turkish MPs briefed Mirel on Turkey's efforts, and said that these efforts should be taken into consideration when the progress report regarding Turkey is being prepared.
On the other hand, Mirel underscored importance of concrete steps to be taken in issues mentioned in the last progress report and Accession Partnership Accord.
Turkish MPs are expected to return to Turkey this evening.
