Türkiye's Trade Minister Heads to Brazil for OECD Small Business Conference

Turkish Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun is traveling to Brazil from 27 to 30 March at the invitation of Brazilian Development, Industry, and Trade Minister Luiz Fernando Furlan.

Coskun will participate in an OECD conference co-hosted by Brazil focused on improving financing options for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He is scheduled to address delegates at the opening session.

The conference seeks to offer practical direction to SMEs on strengthening their competitiveness and securing better access to capital. The Turkish ministry noted that a 2004 OECD ministerial gathering in Istanbul had already identified the need to help SMEs overcome financing barriers, develop creative funding solutions, and review existing policies and programs that hinder their growth.
