ANKARA - Gen. Peter Pace, the Chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, met Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Thursday.
Following the meeting, Pace told reporters that he arrived in Turkey for two reasons. The first reason is to meet and listen to Turkish leaders, and exchange views on ways to develop cooperation with Turkey as the U.S. army, noted Pace.
He said that the second reason of his visit is to attend the international symposium on ``Global Terrorism & International Cooperation``. Pace noted that participants from different countries will share their concerns about terrorism threat and discuss cooperation opportunities in fight against terrorism.
