ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told US senators on Thursday that Turkey would continue to urge Iran to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and international community, regarding its nuclear program.
At the meeting between Erdogan and the US delegation headed by U.S. senator John Warner --the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services-- topics such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran were discussed. US Senators also informed Erdogan about their recent trips to and feelings about Iraq and Afghanistan.
Premier Erdogan insisted on Turkey`s contributions to regional peace and its support to a sound political process in Iraq.
