ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Tuesday that Turkey and Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) were treated unjustly and added that contributions of Turkey and TSK to world peace was very important.
Replying to questions of reporters, Gul said that the letter sent by the United States to the Office of General Staff included elements appreciating Turkey, Chief of General Staff Hilmi Ozkok and TSK.
Gul noted that the letter touched on Turkey's contributions to the Middle East and defined the letter as ''a letter showing how effective role TSK had played and how positive leadership Chief of General Staff made.''
''Articles depending on rumors were not right,'' Gul said.
Gul added, ''TSK has fulfilled its obligations and Turkey continues to fulfil its liabilities. Therefore, Turkey's and TSK's contributions are very important for world peace.''
