ANKARA - President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan arrived in Turkish capital of Ankara on Wednesday to participate in an international symposium on ''Global Terrorism & International Cooperation Against Terrorism''.
Also, NATO Senior Civilian Representative in Afghanistan Hikmet Cetin arrived in Ankara by the same plane.
The symposium, to be held at the Bilkent Hotel, will begin with opening remarks of Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok tomorrow.
Karzai, who will take the floor in the morning session of the symposium, is expected to depart from Ankara at noon.
Gen. Peter Pace, the Chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff; Gen. Sang-Hee Lee, the Chairman of South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff; chiefs of general staff of NATO, Partnership for Peace, and Mediterranean countries; and high-level military officials will attend the symposium which will be held in four sessions.
