ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will leave for Portugal as the official guest of Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Manuel Durao Barroso on Tuesday.
State Ministers Ali Babacan and Kursat Tuzmen will also attend Erdogan's visit to Portugal which will be paid between July 1 and 2.
Erdogan's contacts in Portugal will start with dinner which will be held in his honor by Barroso.
Erdogan will meet with officials of Portuguese Union of Industrialist, Portuguese Exporters Union and a group of businessmen on the second day of his visit.
Bilateral relations, Turkey-European Union relations and current international and regional issues will be taken up during interdelegationary meetings to be headed by Erdogan and Barroso.
Erdogan, who will also meet with Portuguese Parliament Speaker Joao Bosco Soares Mota Amaral during interdelegationary meetings, will attend the lunch which will be given to his honor by Amaral.
Erdogan will also meet with Portuguese Socialist Party Secretary General Ferro Rodrigues.
A seminar on ''Turkey-Portugal New Opportunities/From Cooperation to Partnership'', in which Turkish and Portuguese businessmen will attend, will be held.
Deputies, businessmen and bureaucrats will accompany Erdogan during his visit.
Erdogan and accompanying delegation will depart for Ankara on July 2.
