ANKARA - Southeast Anatolian Project (GAP) Administration Directorate will train Iranian experts after Egyptian, Syrian, Afghan and Chinese experts.
GAP Administration Directorate stated on Monday that a total of 15 experts from Directorate General of Developing Irrigation Network of Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture of Islamic Republic of Iran would be briefed by GAP Administration Regional Directorate and would start training program about irrigation.
The training program, which is planned through Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and within the information of Foreign Ministry, will continue until July 7.
Iranian experts will examine Ataturk Dam, Sanliurfa Irrigation Tunnels, interval canal, Tunnel Exit within the training program on ''Siphon Irrigation''.
The experts, who will be trained about ''Irrigation Unions in Turkey and Operation, Control and Management Training'' and ''Direction of Water in Water Canals and Irrigation Methods and Technologies in Water Saving'', will visit private sector facilities regarding the issue.
Experts will visit villages regarding siphon irrigation implementations and will share experiences with farmers.
Experts, who will be trained about ''Building and implementing Karikbasi Drilled Tube System'', ''Participant Irrigation'', ''Irrigation Economy'', ''Implementation of Geographical Knowledge Systems in Agriculture'', ''Water-Production Relations'', ''Limited Irrigation Optimum Production Design'' and ''Irrigation Methods'', will depart from Turkey on July 7.
