ISTANBUL - The ''Coordination for Opposition to War in Iraq'' called on people to join the world-wide anti-war campaign to boycott U.S. products on July 4.
Coordination's term spokesman Semih Hicyilmaz held a press conference and claimed that the United States continued occupying Iraq, and now it set its eye on Iran and Syria and it wanted Turkey's collaboration.
Noting that efforts were under way throughout the world to protest the aggressive attitude of the United States, Hicyilmaz recalled that anti-war protestors from fifty countries had recently come together in Geneva and Jakarta.
Hicyilmaz said that at those meetings, they had declared July 4, the independence day of the United States, as the 'day of boycotting the U.S. products', adding, ''as the anti-war protestors in Turkey, we invite everybody to join this international boycott campaign on July 4.''
