LEFKOSA - Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) met Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) delegation headed by Deputy Secretary-General Atta al-Mannan in Lefkosa on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Denktas noted that relations between the TRNC and the OIC member countries have been improved especially in the last two years, underlining that it was time to talk about more concrete projects.
Recalling that the Islamic Development Bank had contributed to the foundation of the Lefke University, Denktas said that they wanted to conduct new projects with the bank.
Al-Mannan said in his part that OIC delegation would hold talks with the TRNC authorities on some projects, adding that the delegation would prepare a report regarding their visit to the island and submit it to the OIC foreign ministers` meeting to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan (expected to be held in the second half of 2006).
