Person Trying To Cross Border Illegally Dies Due To Fire Opened By Iranian Soldiers

OZALP - Adem Avut, 16, who tried to cross the border illegally, died on Monday due to fire opened by Iranian soldiers in Ozalp town of eastern Van province.
Avut, living in Asagi Turgali village, wanted to cross the border to illegally get fuel oil.
Iranian soldiers opened fire on Avut as they noticed him and Avut died at the spot.
Avut's body was sent to Ozalp State Hospital for autopsy.
Officials said that Adem Avut was shot by Iranian soldiers within Turkey's borders, adding that investigation was under way.
