ANKARA - The first quarter growth rate of Gross National Product (GNP) in 2003 compared to the same quarter of previous year increased 7.4 percent.
State Institute of Statistics (DIE) released on Monday the GNP estimates for the first quarter of 2003.
The highest growth rate was recorded in import duties with 19.8 percent in the mentioned period.
Thus, the growth rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has increased 8.1 percent.
According to the GNP estimates by expenditure the first quarter of 2003 in real term, private final consumption expenditure has increased 6.5 percent, gross fixed capital formation has increased 9.5 percent while government final consumption expenditure reduced by 3 percent.
