ANKARA - Treasury Undersecretariat will hold two auctions on Tuesday, including 140-day bond and 413-day discounted debenture bond auctions.
The 140-day bonds will be issued on July 2, 2003 and repaid on November 19, 2003.
The value date of the 413-day discounted debenture bonds is July 2, 2003 and their maturity is August 18, 2004.
The Treasury held two auctions on June 17 to sell nominal-valued state notes with floating interest payment once in every three months and 140-day bonds.
In the first auction, the Treasury Undersecretariat sold 298.3 trillion Turkish liras (TL) of nominal-valued state notes with floating interest payment once in every three months.
In this auction, the period interest rate became 11.45 percent and the net sale became 306 trillion TL.
In the second auction, the Treasury Undersecretariat sold 1 quadrillion 161.3 trillion TL of nominal-valued 140-day bonds and the net sale became 1 quadrillion 8 trillion TL.
The composite interest rate of these bonds became 44.5 percent.
Meanwhile, the Treasury will repay 6 quadrillion 314 trillion TL in domestic debt on July 2.
TREASURY TO REPAY 23.4 MILLION USD IN FOREIGN DEBT THIS WEEK
Treasury Undersecretariat will repay 23.4 million U.s. dollars in foreign debt this year.
Treasury will repay 7 million on Monday, 2.2 million on Wednesday, 3.6 million on Thursday and 10.5 million U.S. dollars on Friday.
The Treasury has repaid 1 billion 631.6 million U.S. dollars of foreign debt since the beginning of June and 6 billion 487.4 million U.S. dollars since the beginning of 2003.
Treasury repaid 486 million in January, 1 billion 903.7 million in February, 896 million in March, 557.7 million in April, and 1 billion 12.4 million U.S. dollars in foreign debt in May.
The foreign debt repayment of Treasury amounted to 9 billion 567.9 million U.S. dollars last year.
