RIGHT OF FREE MOVEMENT TO EURO-TURKS
European Union (EU) took a decision, in the form of a ''reform'', which also covers the Turkish citizens living in Europe. Foreigners who live in EU countries, will be able to settle member countries.
A Turkish citizen, who had the right to reside in EU countries, will have the right to ''work and right of education'' in another EU member country.
The circular, which the EU leaders approved, will start to be implemented on July 1, 2005.
This decision, which will bring free movement, will be valid in all EU countries apart from Britain, Ireland, and Denmark. Those three countries will use their right to be ''outside the implementation'' regarded with free movement.
The decision which the EU leaders approved in Salonica Summit, was not leaked out to press yet.

FIVE THOUSAND PEOPLE TO BE EMPLOYED WITH BAKU-CEYHAN PIPELINE
Construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Oil Pipeline started to activate the route that it passes. Five thousand people will be employed in construction of 1076 km pipeline that will be constructed in Turkish side.

QATARI AMIR ANCHORS OFF CIRAGAN PALACE
Qatari Amir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, one of the richest people in the world, came to Turkey for holiday this year as in the previous years. The amir, whose super luxurious yacht anchored off the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, rented whole of one floor of the palace with his wife and five children.

CIVIL SERVANT TO SPEAK
The government is overcoming a taboo and lifting the ban on civil servants for ''not to speak.'' In accordance with the bill, administrators will have the authority to give information and statements without the permission of the minister. With the new law, civil servants will be given the right to form vocational organizations.

NEW REDUCTION IN NATURAL GAS
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave good news for July after eight percent reduction in natural gas prices in June. Erdogan said, ''six percent reduction will be made in price of natural gas used in industry while the reduction in price of natural gas used in houses will be seven percent.''

WE ARE AGAIN THIRD IN WORLD
Okan Yilmaz, who made all Turkish people sad when he could not score the penalty goal in the last minute of the match with France in FIFA Confederations Cup, scored one goal against Colombia in the third play-off match. With the goal scored by Okan in the 87th minute, Turkish national football team won the match 2-1 and all Turkish people became very happy with the result.

COOPERATION WITH BULGARIA
Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu Met with Bulgarian Interior Minister Georgi Petkanov. Following the meeting, Aksu and Petkanov signed protocol regarding initiatives on which agreement in principle had been reached. Aksu said that measures against international terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime would be taken in meetings to be held between the interior ministries of the two countries.

TUZMEN: ''WE WILL EXCEED 40 BILLION USD IN EXPORTS''
State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said that there was 60-70 percent rise in trade with Syria and Iran in the recent one year and added, ''we will make the Southeastern Anatolia Region a center of trade with neighbor countries.'' Tuzmen said that they would exceed 40 billion U.S. dollars in exports.

CONTACT WITH ARMENIANS
A nine-people Parliamentary delegation, currently in the United States as the guest of Democracy Center Institution, met with the most influential Armenian institution America Armenian Assembly (AAA) officials. It was reported that AAA asked for the meeting.
The parliamentary delegation comprised of Reha Denemec, Erol Aslan Cebeci, Afif Demirkiran, Nazim Ekren, Nukhet Hotar Goksel, Ibrahim Ozal, Ali Dincer, Zeynep Damla Gurel and Memduh Hacioglu held a news conference in Washington and briefed about their contacts.
Denemec, Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Deputy Chairman, said that they met with officials of American administration, congress and various institutions, as well as the officials of the AAA.
Mentioning the importance of setting up dialogue, Denemec said, ''we should start from the easiest in relations, not from the most difficult one. Steps should be taken to normalize relations. Trade has important role in this respect.''

DECREASE SALARIES
In its last report presented to parliament, the Government Accounting Bureau said that high salaries paid to officials of supreme boards caused reactions of public opinion and became a matter of discussion. The report noted, ''the salaries should be re-arranged according to normal public salaries.''

FOREIGN EXCHANGE DRAMA IN TEXTILE
Due to rapid decrease in U.S. dollar rate, textile sector is working with 10-15 percent loss.

MAGNIFICENT FINAL
International Bands Festival which was organized upon the 2212th anniversary of foundation of Land Forces Command ended with a magnificent show. In the end of the festival, 600-member band played the Land War Academy's march. In the end of the festival, Chief of General Staff Hilmi Ozkok congratulated Turkish and foreign military bands.

PARLIAMENTARY INVESTIGATIONS DO NOT GIVE OUTCOME
Commission to investigate corruption will complete its studies in the coming week and present its report to Parliament. The Commission is expected to ask parliamentary investigation to send some former prime ministers and ministers to Supreme Court to be judged. However, the examples of the past reveal that the commissions could not give outcome.
A total of 102 motions were submitted to the Parliament in the past 20 years to open investigations. 73 of them included allegations of corruption, and a total of 70 ministers were accused. However a positive response to send the Supreme Court was given only for two motions. Only one of the ministers, out of three, was sentenced.

THERE IS INCREASE IN OUR TRADE WITH SYRIA AND IRAN
State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said an important progress was recorded in trade with Syria and Iran in the past one year.
Tuzmen said, ''development of the region will be possible with increase of exportation and importation with the neighboring countries. We know how important Habur border gate is for the region. We have opened Gurbulak Border Gate to trade. Now that we are exerting efforts to open Habur border gate to 24-hour trade. There is an important increase in our trade with Syria and Iran when compared with the previous year.
