Tuzmen: Trade With Syria And Iran Has Increased

MARDIN - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Saturday that trade with Syria and Iran increased in the recent one year.
Tuzmen, accompanied by Customs Undersecretary Nevzat Saygilioglu, Turkish Exporters Union Chairman Oguz Satici, RODER Executive Board Chairman Saffet Ulusoy, Turkish-Iranian Businessmen's Friendship Association Chairman Mehmet Emin Deger, came to southeastern Mardin province.
At the airport, Tuzmen said that he came to the region upon the instruction of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to solve problems of the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
Tuzmen noted that development of the region could be possible with increase of export and import of the region with neighbor countries and expressed determination to solve the problems.
Noting that trade with Syria increased by 70 percent when compared with the previous year, Tuzmen said that rise in trade with Iran was 60 percent in the mentioned period.
