EDIRNE - Turkish Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu said on Sunday that the government would do everything in its power to heal wounds of the recent flood disaster in the northwestern city of Edirne.
Aksu visited the Ipsala town of Edirne which was badly affected by the flood waters.
Edirne Governor Nusret Miroglu, Ipsala Sub-governor Aylin Kirci Duman and Ipsala Mayor Emin Basaran informed Aksu on the damage caused by flood waters.
Aksu said that an aid of nearly 900 thousand USD was sent to Edirne from state funds.
