ANKARA - The total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks increased 324 million U.S. dollars to 64 billion 888 million U.S. dollars between June 6 and 13, 2003.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 64 billion 564 million U.S. dollars on June 6.
The foreign exchange deposits increased 249 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 992 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
The total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 259 million U.S. dollars to 46 billion 816 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits became 2 billion 176 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 3 million U.S. dollars to 336 million U.S. dollars.
The foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts decreased 145 million U.S. dollar to 15 billion 752 million U.S. dollars between June 13 and 20, 2003.
