Erdogan To Go To Portugal And Gul To Depart For Britain In July

ANKARA - Ankara is preparing for a heavy diplomacy traffic in July.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will go to Portugal on July 1, and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will depart for Britain on July 2.
Ankara will host high-ranking officials from Israel and Palestine in July.
Israeli President Moshe Katzav will hold meetings in Ankara between July 8 and 9 and then Palestinian Foreign Minister Nebil Saat will visit Ankara. Bilateral relations and Middle East peace process are expected to be taken up in the meetings.
The visit of Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas to Ankara in coming months is also on the agenda.
Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou will also visit Istanbul in July.
Papandreou, who will give a conference on July 14 in Bilgi University, will meet with former Foreign Minister Ismail Cem.
Diplomatic sources said that Gul could visit Athens following the contacts of Papandreou.
