Gul: Countries That Would Help Re-building Of Iraq May Benefit From Turkey's Facilities

ANKARA - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said on Tuesday that countries, which would help Iraq's re-building under Security Council resolution no:1483, could benefit from Turkey's facilities in case they want.
Responding to questions of reporters, Gul said demand came from the United States in this respect, and that they signed a decree in this respect in yesterday's Council of Ministers meeting.
''The resolution of the United Nations Security Council no: 1483 includes rebuilding process of Iraq and humanitarian aid. We said that countries that would help Iraq in its rebuilding process could benefit from Turkey's capabilities. These countries will be allowed to benefit from airports, ports and border gates in Turkey,'' he said.
Gul added, ''if a country which will send peace forces in order to provide security in Iraq, asks Turkey's permission, it will be able to benefit from our airports and ports. We will assist countries to send humanitarian aid to Iraq.''
