ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Tuesday, ''Turkey has opened its airports and ports to anyone who wants to send humanitarian aid to Iraq.''
Responding questions of journalists, Gul said, ''Turkey has opened its airports and ports to anyone and any country that want to send humanitarian aid to Iraq. This decision was taken under the resolution of the United Nations Security Council no: 1483 about rebuilding process and Iraq and humanitarian aid.''
Upon another question, Gul said, ''opening of airports and ports does not require motion. The decision of the Council of Ministers on the issue will be valid for a year.''
