ANKARA - Health Minister Recep Akdag said on Monday, ''transformation program in health will provide health personnel and doctors with a comfortable working atmosphere.''
Akdag left for Denmark to hold meetings with World Health Organization (WHO) and Danish Ministry of Health officials.
Holding a press conference at Ankara's Esenboga Airport prior to his departure, Akdag said that he would pay a visit to Denmark upon invitation of WHO Europe Region Director Marc Danzon.
''During my visit to Denmark, I will assess cooperation projects between the Ministry of Health and the WHO. Also, I will inform WHO officials on the transformation program in health,'' he said.
Noting that he would hold talks with Danish Ministry of Health officials, Akdag said that he would receive information about health system in Denmark.
''I believe that my visit to Denmark will make a contribution to our transformation program. This program aims at solving problems of both doctors and patients. The transformation program will provide health personnel and doctors with a comfortable working atmosphere,'' he added.
Akdag is expected to return to Turkey on Thursday.
