Kadir: It Is Essential To Found A Turkish Bank In Kirkuk Or In Mosul

ANKARA - Iraqi businessmen, who came to Turkey from Irbil, Mosul, Kirkuk and Baghdad under an organization of the Foreign Trade Undersecretariat and the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, assessed business opportunities in Turkey.
Suphi Sabir A. Kadir who heads the delegation told A.A correspondent on Sunday that it was essential to found a Turkish bank in Kirkuk or in Mosul.
Noting that the bank could be founded by Turkish and Iraqi partners, Kadir said, ''such an initiative is of great importance in regard to our commercial proceedings. Besides the bank, we can make joint investments.''
''We want Turkish government to provide us with loan. We expect Turkish businessmen to provide us with payment facilities in our joint investments. Turkey has a great economic potential. We aim at further developing our commercial relations with Turkish government and Turkish businessmen,'' he said.
Recalling that they had held bilateral meetings with their counterparts in the Ankara Chamber of Commerce and the First Organized Industrial Zone in Sincan district, Kadir said, ''we also visited some firms. We have not made a business deal yet, however, such deals can be made in the coming days.''
