ANKARA - Japanese Prince Tomohito Mikasa and his daughter Princess Akiko Mikasa visited historical and touristic places in Ankara on Thursday.
Prince Mikasa, the nephew of Japanese Emperor Hirohito, and Princess Mikasa firstly visited Anitkabir, Mausoleum of Ataturk.
Japanese prince and princess laid a wreath on Ataturk's Mausoleum and observed a minute of silence.
Prince Mikasa later signed Anitkabir Special Book and visited Ataturk and War of Independence Museum.
The Japanese prince and princess later had lunch in Ankara Castle and visited Anatolian Civilizations Museum.
Prince Mikasa and Princess Akiko Mikasa will proceed to Kaman town of central Kirsehir province on Friday and visit Kalehoyuk Ruins.
They will have a tour in Cappadocia and Goreme and visit Ihlara Valley and Zelve on Saturday.
The Japanese prince and princess, who will visit Bogazkoy on Sunday, will leave Turkey on Monday.
