Foreign Minister Gul Due To Salonica

ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will accompany Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his visit to Salonica for the European Union (EU) summit.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Huseyin Dirioz told the weekly press briefing that Gul and Erdogan would leave for Salonica on Friday.
Erdogan and Gul will participate in the informative meeting organized by EU Term Presidency in Salonica on Friday which will be attended by the candidate countries and later join the dinner to be hosted in honor of guests by Greek President Costas Stephanopoulos.
Foreign Minister Gul is expected to meet with Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou and EU Common Foreign Policy and Defense Chief Javier Solana.
After attending the EU-Western Balkans Summit on Saturday, Gul will proceed to Jordan, where World Economic Forum will take place.
