Sixth E.U. Adjustment Package To Be Debated On Thursday

ANKARA - The Sixth European Union (EU) adjustment package will be debated at Parliamentary General Assembly on Thursday.
Officials told A.A correspondent on Wednesday that the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) proposed Republican People's Party (CHP) to discuss the bill in the General Assembly the following day.
CHP, which extends support to the package, opposed to the proposal since the bill has not been taken up in the Constitution and EU Commissions of the Parliament.
CHP deputy chairman Mustafa Ozyurek said that AK Party told them that they would present the proposal to the Advisory Board on Thursday.
Ozyurek noted, ''we also extend support to the sixth EU adjustment package. But the bill has to be firstly discussed in the Constitution and EU Commissions. We won't approve discussion of the bill in the General Assembly before these deficiencies are eliminated.''
