ANKARA - Germany parliamentarians met on Wednesday with Parliamentary Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs Commission Chairman Mahfuz Guler.
The three-member delegation headed by Gerd Andres first visited Parliamentary Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission Chairman Soner Aksoy.
Later, they came together with Guler.
Speaking at the meeting, Guler said that there had been very well relations between Turkey and Germany.
Recalling that nearly 2.5 million Turkish people had been living in Germany, Guler said, ''nearly 400 thousand Turkish citizens were given German citizenship. We are pleased with it.''
Meanwhile, Gerd Andres expressed his satisfaction over communication and cooperation between Turkey and Germany.
Recalling that they had held a meeting with Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu earlier in the day, Andres said that Turkish-German Social Affairs Commission had reactivated after four years.
The delegation will continue holding meetings with Turkish officials till June 20.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to receive members of the delegation tomorrow.
