ANKARA - A delegation comprised of Lale Akgun, a deputy of the German Social Democrat Party (SPD), and other SPD deputies will hold meetings in Ankara between June 18 and 19.
The delegation headed by German Ministry for Economics and Labor Undersecretary Gerd Anders will also consist of Federal Parliament Disarmament Sub-Commission Chairman Uta Zapf and other political party members.
The delegation is expected to meet with Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu, State Minister Mehmet Aydin and some other officials on Wednesday, and with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun, and Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Kemal Dervis on Thursday.
Labor law, European Union (EU) reform process, situation of economic reforms, bilateral relations between Germany and Turkey, and situation of Turkish citizens living in Germany are foreseen to be taken up during contacts of the delegation.
