LONDON/ANKARA - British Consultants and Construction Bureau (BBCB) Director Dick Thomson said on Tuesday that they would cooperate with Turkish contractors in construction projects in Iraq and in third countries.
Dick Thomson replied the A.A correspondent's questions about cooperation between Turkey and England in construction field.
Stressing that their cooperation with Turkish contractors would not be limited only with Iraq, Thomson said that they had met with Association of Turkish Contractors (TMB) Secretary General Selcuk Polat and TMB Deputy Chairman Ali Kantur in Turkey, and they had discussed cooperation they would make in Iraq and third countries.
Thomson said that TMB and they had agreed to inform each other on projects beneficial to both sides and maintain their relations.
Stressing that they knew about Turkish companies' expertise and success in international field, Thomson said that there was a strong cooperation between Turkish and English contractors, adding that they had invited a TMB delegation to London to discuss opportunities of joint work in detail and take up projects in the future.
Noting that they would focus on the projects in the region which also covered Turkey, Thomson said that especially infrastructure projects in energy and water sectors in the region constituted their focal point.
Thomson added that Turkish and English contractors would cooperate also in projects in European Union candidate countries, and they could win auctions in those countries.
